My Interior Design vision on "Eos" as i affectionately named after the Greek goddess of the dawn, was quite extensive, including completely new ethereal dreamy palettes of soft hues of white, and subtle soft pale pink, ...

It was quite a romantic lovely vision of mine, and it was inevitably an extensive an involved project, that I managed from abroad, but still it was very careful attention to detail, and remaining true to the authenticity of the time & style of this rare Greek Revival property...

For the kitchen, there it was prior completely different, all brown wooden and harsh colors, and I involved the soft palette, as well as mahogany custom designed island, buffet, and then there is the adddition of the marble floors...i really have always enjoyed this room in the home, as it is is softly immersed in very lovely softness of light, and the cathedral windows gaze upon the  romantic gardens, that i always felt would be better to expand upon a newly created sunroom...

The great room was originally designed by Chatelain architects from D.C, and this also enjoyed my vision of pleasing soft palette, white washing of the wood, and really i wanted it to feel like this cheerful gathering space of several different areas...& there was imported white jade marble flooring, that I had researched, we acquired from China......there is a lounge sofa portion...there is a dining portion for either day or evening dining...but the light there is especially lovely in the day...summertime very much so...and then i wanted to have a study portion, and other places for books, collecting, art, and also an artist's area for creating, drafting, painting...I always felt this space brought much peace, harmony, life to my senses, imagination, spirit...it is great when spaces, environments can nurture us in such a way, and bring us to a more lovelier and healthier way of existing...

I really became fascinated with collecting certain objects while ownership of this property..i developed a wonderful fondness of china, and was always ordering various kind, as it was just so happy for me :), and then I discovered an actual Lalique painting, as is displayed about this dining area...and also acquired most of the original European furniture of a late Southern lady's estate in Georgia..she had very nice taste i may add...i really am always in affectionate relationship with antiques,  as i think they create a kind of emotional authenticity that is kind, romantic, lovely...
and other cute objects and paintings locally i discovered such as an Antique ship i think was so fun & charming, and other paintings of the sea & like...
This property has an interesting history...originally a ship captain's estate it is said, and the grounds were originally envisioned by Frederick Law Olmsted , the same designer of Central Park, and other lovely areas about America....whom was very fond of an emotional artistic vision in his work, for the grounds to promote naturalness, vivid and lively emotions...

I really was so excited about David acquiring this property for me as it is a rare Greek Revival ...prior to this we were exploring chateaux in France, as this idea was and still is very romantic for me...particularly I am fond of summers in a chateau in France, but i feel year round it can be interesting...and in Europe there is so much near always for exploring, feeling, experiencing,...for the senses, imagination, learning, love,...

This redesigned kitchen by me truly sings a kind of tranquil song..like a limitless Chopin nocturne...calm, romantic, ethereal...:) Everything i adore about it...from the addition of the classical fireplace mantle, the art nouveau dining area, the custom designed mahogany island that we also covered with a marble top, and the overall pretty palette i envolved. At the time I was also taking courses with Inchbald, in London for Interior Architecture and also some at University of Oxford, while I resided in Switzerland...still a place I adore very much , that fostered incredible healing, harmony, vivid romance to all my senses..and i feel i belong there :)

The property stands on about 40+ acres...it is really very dramatic and lovely, including forest...and it has so pretty views of the bay...that pictures never truly capture it as beautiful as it is...there are gardens, berries and a pool on property also..i always felt creating an equestrian portion would be really wonderful :)

The original Greek Revival column facade truly is so lovely , but the surrounding romantic gardens and setting creates a pleasing harmonious inviting relationship...
